Nissan GT-R GT3 To Race At Donington
This Weekend

JRM has confirmed that the Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3 will enter this weekend's three-hour British GT race at Donington as part of the car's development programme.



The GT-R GT3 made its race debut at the recent Blancpain Endurance Series race at Magny Cours, where it finished a very creditable eighth in the hands of Richard Westbrook and David Brabham. New hands will be behind the wheel this weekend, however, in the form of FIA GT1 World Championship driver Nick Catsburg and GT4 expert Alex Buncombe; both being Nissan drivers.
“Entering a round of the British GT Championship with the GT3 car is the next stage of our test and development plan”, said JRM Managing Director Andy Barnes. “As with the race at Magny-Cours, we are focused on gathering as much data as we can and covering as many miles as possible, rather than setting our sights on a high-place finish.”
The GT-R is the second high-profile car to use a British GT round as a test platform, following the McLaren MP4-12C's debut at Spa. That car took pole for the first race in Belgium, and there's every chance that the Nissan will make a similar impact in Leicesteshire this weekend.

Beh, insomma, non voglio dire che si deve vincere subito alla prima gara (Wolf per citare il nome piu' famoso), pero', mi sembra che ultimi a 41 giri su 105 della gara, non e' un debutto, per cosi' dire, incoraggiante .......
