Direte Voi: ma che c'entra Freddie Mercury dei Queen con il Club GT-R Italia e la sezione "Altre AUTO" del Forum ?

Perche':
1) e' il mio cantante/gruppo preferito (beh, "chi se ne frega!", direte !)
2) il primo disco 45" in vinile che ho comprato da ragazzino con i miei soldi e' stato Bohemian Rapsody nel 1976 (anche questo, 'nun ce ne po' frega' de meno !')

3) sono nato lo stesso giorno di Freddie Mercury (e Clay Regazzoni !) .... qualche anno dopo di Lui ? (a ridaije, "MA CHE CE NE FREGA A NOI ???????" starete pensando ed imprecando contro il sottoscritto )

.....CAVOLI ! Ma e' proprio per questo che ve ne sto parlando !!!

Infatti, si avvicina il giorno del SUO compleanno, che e' Lunedi' 5 Settembre prossimo, e per l'occasione 'qualcuno' nel campo automobilistico ha pensato (molto) bene di fargli "un regalone" unico ed imperdibile !!!!

Lotus announces its latest charitable donation for the hammer to fall on: a bespoke Evora S for the Mercury Phoenix Trust.

CALLING ALL GIRLS and boys - September 5th will see the Savoy Hotel play host to a very special celebration, the 65th birthday of THE HERO, the late, great Freddie Mercury.

DEAR FRIENDS of Freddie will unite in GOOD COMPANY at Freddie's FLASH birthday bash which is set to be 'a unique night of comedy and rock and roll' as the climax to this year's Freddie For A Day. The highlight of the night will be an auction to raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the HIV AIDS charity set-up in his honour by band mates Brian May, Roger Taylor and Queen manager Jim Beach after the singer's death in 1991.

The pearl white MADE IN HEAVEN Evora S with Freddie Mercury inspired theme represents A KIND OF MAGIC combination from the Lotus Design team: the power and prowess of the critically acclaimed Lotus with the dramatic styling befitting of a British rock legend. Featuring deep red and gold highlights this Evora S is well deserving of Freddie's autograph which is also included in the scheme.

The exterior BODY LANGUAGE features a white, red and gold colour scheme inspired by the iconic costume Freddie wore for the 1986 "Magic tour" and features beautiful silver on white iconography. The front fender references the Montreux Freddie memorial statue with the line "Lover of life. Singer of songs" taken from the statue's inscription.

Inside, the one-off yellow interior, also inspired by Freddie's 1986 stage costume, includes a union flag on the back of the seats and the incorporation of a crown hints at Freddie's playful royal role-play. And it goes without saying that the sound system or more specifically the RADIO, will send the lucky owner GA GA.

Brian May had these words to say of Lotus' participation: "Our friends at Lotus have donated a stunning Evora S for our auction which I know will be a massive fund-raiser for the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Per essere sincero, ho pensato seriamente di farmi 'un regalino' per il mio compleanno ma ..... poi mi son detto "chissa' a quanto la 'batteranno' alla fine !". Quindi ..... mi accontentero' di regalarmi la foto, SIC !

Non sapevo facessoro una Evora un pò "frocia"
Comunque ,scherzi a partre, pace all'ano suo, era un grande artista.

Unico,incredibile e fantastico Freddie!!!e meravigliosi i Queen ma TASSATIVAMENTE la band all original:impensabile e irrispettoso solo pensare di sostituire Mercury con qualcun'altro e poi addirittura se non ricordo male anche Roger Taylor se ne andato sostituito anch'essi:vergogna!!!
Per il resto la Evora non mi fa impazzire neanche in questa versione speciale

Ah....dimenticavo....i miei preferiti sono gli AC DC, poi i DeepPurple, poi un brano che mi sento in cuffia spesso ,prima di fare i track day ..............

Confermo: i Queen 'erano' Freddie Mercury.
Correzione: non e' Roger Taylor, batterista e appassionato di auto da corsa, che se ne e' andato, bensi' John Deacon, il bassista, affermando la stessa cosa: 'Queen' = Freddie Mercury. Ogni altra formazione NON sono 'Queen'..... Men che meno con Paul Rogers (sostituto di Freddie) aggiungo io.

La Lotus non sara' una gran macchina ma ..... 'Freddie Mercury Limited Edition' !!! ..... se avessi avuto abbastanza soldi, l'avrei comprata e messa in garage, senza pensarci un attimo !

Ti seguo a distanza con ACiDiCi e Deep Purple: dopo Queen, Emerson Lake and Palmer, ZZ Top e Pink Floyd ma ..... qual e' il brano che senti in cuffia prima dei Track Days ? .... e il brano prima delle corse ???

..... io sceglierei questa per darmi la carica .....

Si Roy ho fatto confusione io sorry grande John che ha avuto il coraggio di dire le cose come sono!!!pensa che il nome del presunto cantante che si è permesso di provare a sostituire Freddie manco me lo ricordo e non intendo ricordarlo!!
Comunque dopo le "regine" anch'io fan AC/DC (però preferisco da quando c'è il grande Brian Johnson come vocalist ) poi anche Linkin Park,Stone Temple Pilots,Shania Twain e in generale tutta la musica anni '80 (che periodo ragazzi!!) e su qui se devo dare un nome mi viene in mente il grandissimo Nik Kershaw
